How to respond to a phishing attack

Phishing is one of the main cyber security issues facing businesses and can lead to a range of damaging scenarios, including the theft of passwords, banking details or confidential records. Alternatively, one click may install ransomware on a computer, leaving it unusable until a fee is paid to hackers.

Some phishing emails are so convincing they could fool “even the most observant users”, according to the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). This article looks at how small businesses should respond following a phishing attack.
