Exercising after work and then getting a good night’s rest is the best way to prepare for a stressful day, according to a new study.
Researchers said the combination of a physical workout followed by plenty of sleep is the key to avoiding emotional exhaustion or burnout in the workplace.
Lead author Dr Inga Nagel, of the University of Konstanz in Germany, said the findings show employees should be given time to recuperate rather than being expected to work overtime.
