Children learn (fear of) the drill from their parents

Children who are scared of going to the dentist often learn the fear from their parents, according to a new study.
Researchers found evidence that “dental fear contagion” may spread through families via shared thought processes. They concluded that many children develop a fear of going to the dentist due to “emotional transfer” from their mother or father.
